Crafting Your AI is written by one person: a security operations professional with over 30 years in IT. The last two years have gone into bringing AI into day-to-day security work and everyday life outside of it - actually using these tools, not just reading about them.

That's the whole editorial position here. Nothing gets recommended that hasn't been set up, broken, and fixed firsthand. If a guide says something goes wrong a certain way, it's because it did.

This site exists because most local AI content either assumes you're already an expert or hands you a black box and calls it done. Neither respects your time. The guides here try to do a third thing: explain enough of the why that you actually understand your own setup when you're finished, not just that you followed some steps.
